COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletics Conference released the 2023 All-Conference rosters on Wednesday morning, with two Yellow Jackets receiving conference honors.

Junior pitcher/utility player Shayla Tuschen was named All-RMAC Second Team while junior right-fielder Kayla Lee earned Honorable Mention.

Shayla Tuschen – All-RMAC Second Team
Tushen was one of the top two-way players in the RMAC this season, playing all 44 games and batting with a .325/.399/.423 slash line, while finishing 10th in the RMAC with 91 strikeouts in the circle.

At the plate, she totaled 40 hits, including six doubles and two home runs while driving in 26 runs. Tuschen scored 23 runs and worked 16 walks to her 16 strikeouts.

In the circle, she finished the year with a 4.35 earned run average, and a 1.65 WHIP. In her 11 starts and 22 appearances, Tuschen hurled eight complete games over 127 innings of work, and walked only 33 batters.

Kayla Lee – All-RMAC Honorable Mention
Was 13th in the RMAC with a .360 batting average, and finished fourth in the conference with 27 stolen bases this season.

In 44 games played she totaled 49 hits, with three doubles, four triples and a home run. She drove in 14 runs and scored 32 times. She also drew 12 walks compared to her 18 strikeouts and finished with a .420 on-base percentage.
