NORTH PLATTE, Neb. – The Black Hills State University men's and women's rodeo teams had another successful run this past weekend as they traveled to the Mid-Plains College Stampede Rodeo for a pair of events taking place Thursday-Saturday at Wild West Arena. The Yellow Jacket women's team has ran their winning streak to three consecutive rodeos as they took home the title in both Rodeo #1 and Rodeo #2, while
Emma Ohm claimed the All-Around Championship in Rodeo #1 and
Cashae McGee claimed the All-Around Championship in Rodeo #2. On the men's side BHSU turned in fourth and sixth place team finishes, with
Jess Harper highlighting the performances with a first place finish in team roping as he paired up with Colton Zubach of Dickinson State.
HOW IT HAPPENED - MEN'S RODEO #1
- Gabe Glines claimed a third place finish in steer wrestling as he notched a time of 5.2 seconds on the one go around.
- Luke Mavity added a sixth place finish in tie down roping, clocking a time of 11.8 seconds on the one go around.
- Pairing up Colton Zubach of Dickinson State, Jess Harper recorded a fifth place finish in the team roping event as they posted a time of 8.9 seconds on the one go around.

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN'S RODEO #2
- A pair of Yellow Jackets earned top-10 finishes in the tie down roping event. Luke Mavity clocked a time of 32.1 seconds on two go arounds for fifth place, with times of 10.9 seconds on the long go and 21.2 seconds on the short go. Swade Reis added a tenth place finish as he recorded a time of 12.9 seconds on just one long go run.
- For the second time this weekend, Jess Harper paired up with Colton Zubach in the team roping event and this time they notched a time of 16.5 seconds for first place, with times of 8.1 seconds on the long go and 8.4 seconds on the short go. Also competing in the event was Luke Mavity who teamed up with Dawson Davis of Iowa Central, as the duo earned a tenth place finish with a time of 12.2 seconds on just one long go run.

HOW IT HAPPENED - WOMEN'S RODEO #1
- With 145 points in breakaway roping and 116.5 points in goat tying, Emma Ohm was named the Women's All-Around Champion with 261.5 total points. Additionally, Cashae McGee was third in the Women's All-Around standings as she totaled 120 points with 107 points in barrel racing and 13 points in goat tying.
- A pair of Yellow Jackets scored top-10 finishes in the goat tying event as Kenzie Homelvig finished sixth with a one go time of 7.5 seconds and McGee finished eighth with a one go time of 7.6 seconds.
- In breakaway roping, Ohm won her second consecutive title in the event dating back to last week's rodeo in Wisconsin, clocking a time of 2.4 seconds on one go. Finishing ninth in the event, Briley Anderson posted a one go time of 3.3 seconds.
- McGee tallied a third place finish barrel racing as she notched a time of 18.17 seconds on one go.

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN'S RODEO #2
- The pair of Cashae McGee and Emma Ohm once again conquered the Women's All-Around standings, as McGee took home the title with 240 points with 150 from goat tying and 90 from barrel racing, while Ohm collected 125 points with 100 from breakaway roping and 25 from goat tying.
- Highlighting McGee's All-Around title run was a victory in the goat tying event in which the Yellow Jackets dominated by sweeping the top-6 placings. McGee posted the top time of 14.6 seconds with 7.2 seconds on the long go and 7.4 seconds on the short go. Coming in a tie for second for BHSU was Raylee Fagerhaug and Capri Cammack who notched a times of 15.1 seconds. Fagerhaug clocked times of 8.0 seconds on the long go and 7.1 seconds on the short go, while Cammack posted times of 7.7 seconds on the long go and 7.4 seconds on the short go. Finishing fourth for Black Hills State was Haley Husted who recorded a time of 15.4 seconds with times of 8.2 seconds on the long go and 7.2 seconds on the short go. In fifth place was Linley Schmitz who clocked a time of 15.7 seconds on a long go time of 7.6 seconds and 8.1 seconds on the short go, and rounding out the group was Ohm who posted a time of 15.9 seconds on a long go time of 7.8 seconds and a short go time of 8.1 seconds.
- Ohm added a fifth place finish in breakaway roping as she led a Black Hills State trio in the event with a time of 14.6 on two go arounds, clocking a time of 2.4 seconds on the long go and 12.2 seconds on the short go. Also, in the event and only completing in the long go were Kate Weborg who finished eighth with a time of 3.1 seconds and Linley Schmitz who was 11th with a time of 3.5 seconds.
- In barrel racing it was a quartet of Yellow Jackets that placed within the top-10, headlined by McGee who posted a fourth place finish with a time of 36.28 seconds on two go arounds as she clocked times of 18.14 seconds on the long go and 18.14 seconds on the short go. Earning fifth place was Adeline Nostegaard with a time of 36.56 seconds on two go arounds, clocking times of 18.44 seconds on the long go and 18.12 seconds on the short go. Next was Jayda Reinert with a time of 36.59 seconds on two go arounds for a sixth place finish as she notched times of 18.22 seconds on the long go and 18.37 seconds on the short go. Rounding out the group was Kashlin Bettelyoun in seventh place and a two go around time of 36.68 seconds, securing times of 18.28 seconds on the long go and 18.40 seconds on the short go.
