SUTHERLAND, Neb. - The No. 1 Black Hills State University women's rodeo team extended their streak of rodeo team titles to three last weekend, earning victories at both the Mid-Plains Community College Stampede Rodeo #1 and Rodeo #2, while the No. 11 men's rodeo team earned ninth and sixth place finishes respectively at the Sutherland Rodeo Arena. Individually, Jayda Reinert earned the women's all-around and barrel racing titles, while Raylee Fagerhaug won the goat tying in the first rodeo, and Teagan Homelvig won the goat tying in the second rodeo. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN'S RODEO #1 

• Hadly Erickson recorded a seventh place finish in the tie down roping, notching a time of 12.5 seconds in the one go round. 
• In team roping, Colter Gerard paired up with CeeJay Bohmbach of Bismarck State for a sixth place finish and time of 12.5 seconds. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – MEN'S RODEO #2 

• In the tie down roping, Burel Erickson recorded a seventh place finish in the event with an overall time of 25.1 seconds as he clocked a time of 12.3 seconds in the long go and 12.8 seconds in the short go, which was the fifth-fastest in the round. 
• Mickey Strawn paired up with former Yellow Jacket Luke Mavity, who is now a grad student at the University of Mary, in the team roping competition as the two earned a fifth place finish in the event with an overall time of 25.9 seconds. In the long go they notched a time of 15.1 seconds, while they then added the second-fastest time of the short go at 10.8 seconds. In sixth place was Hadly Erickson and Burel Erickson, who was fourth in the long go with a time of 10.3 seconds, however they were unable to record a time in the short go. Then in seventh place was Colter Gerard who paired up with CeeJay Bohmbach of Bismarck State as they notched a time of 14.9 seconds in the long go, but were unable to record a time in the short go. 
• In the men's all-around competition, Burel Erickson tallied 70 points for an eighth place finish, earning 40 points in team roping and 30 points in tie down roping. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN'S RODEO #1 

• The Yellow Jackets were dominant in goat tying taking five of the top-6 places in the event. Raylee Fagerhaug tied for the win with a run of 6.9 seconds, while Teagan Homelvig was second in a time of 7.0 seconds, Kaydence Feia was fourth in a time of 7.2 seconds, Kiera Mavity was fifth in a time of 7.3 seconds, and Taylor Price was sixth in a time of 7.4 seconds. 
• The team roping pair of Jayda Reinert and Lainey Crago captured a fourth place finish with a time of 11.2 seconds.  
• Reinert earned her second consecutive title of the year in barrel racing, posting a time of 18.17 seconds, while Kamry Davis added a fifth place run of 18.68 seconds, Cienna McGuckin was eighth and added a time of 18.87 seconds, and Mavity added a ninth place finish and time of 18.88 seconds. 
• With her 233 points during the first rodeo, Reinert secured the women's all-around title as she earned 145 points in barrel racing and 88 points in team roping. 

HOW IT HAPPENED – WOMEN'S RODEO #2 

• Black Hills State continued to be strong in goat tying once again, sweeping the top-3 places as Teagan Homelvig won the event with an overall time of 14.1 seconds, tying for the win in the long go with a time of 6.9 seconds and winning the short go with a time of 7.2 seconds. Kate Weborg was 1.4 seconds behind in second place as she posted an overall time 15.5 seconds with a 7.8 second long go and a 7.7 second short go. Raylee Fagerhaug rounded out the top-3 with an overall time of 15.7 seconds, recording a long go time of 7.5 seconds and a short go time of 8.2 seconds. Bailey Verhulst added a sixth place finish in goat tying as she tallied a time of 22.0 seconds overall with times of 7.0 seconds on the long go and 15.0 seconds on the short go. Kenzie Homelvig rounded out five Yellow Jackets in the event with an eighth place finish, notching an overall time of 16.5 seconds with times of 7.9 seconds on the long go and 8.6 seconds on the short go. 
• Kashlin Bettelyoun was the lone Yellow Jacket to qualify for the short go of the breakaway roping as she recorded a time of 3.4 seconds in the long go. She was unable to record a time in the short go and finished 11th overall in the event. 
• Kiera Mavity led the way for Black Hills State in the barrel racing competition, earning a second place finish as she tied for second in the long go with a time of 18.39 seconds and then tied for first in the short go with a time of 18.36 seconds. She was second overall with a time of 36.75 seconds. In third place for BHSU with a time of 37.05 seconds was Sierra Steele, as she was fourth in the long go with a time of 18.46 seconds and third in the short go with a time of 18.59 seconds. Jayda Reinert, who saw her string of victories come to an end, was sixth place with an overall time of 41.95 seconds as she tied for second in the long go at 18.39 seconds but ran a short go time of 23.56 seconds. The final competitor for the Green & Gold in the event was Homelvig, who placed seventh with an overall time of 37.30 seconds, as she notched a long go time of 18.61 seconds and a short go time of 18.69 seconds. 
• Homelvig earned a fifth place finish in the women's all-around competition with 30 points as she notched 20 points in barrel racing and ten points in goat tying.
