Box Score SPEARFISH, S.D.- In the second game of the RMAC Regional Pod, Black Hills State took down the Chadron State Eagles 3-2 in a five-set thriller. The Yellow Jackets were down two sets to none and then reverse swept the Chadron in five sets in a crazy come from behind victory. It was the first win in the last five matchups for the Yellow Jackets who snap a four-game losing streak versus CSC.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Yellow Jackets fell in the first set 25-13 to the Chadron State Eagles to put them up 1-0 in the set.
- The second set started out with the two teams tied at three before Chadron went on a 7-2 run to take a 10-5 lead early on. Carsyn Mettler got three kills to help keep BHSU's deficit within four at 12-8. Each team won points with BHSU being able to keep it at a four-point deficit all the way until 17-13 before Chadron won three points in a row to make it 20-14. The Green and Gold won two in a row to cut it to 20-16 before CSC won five of the next seven points to get a 25-18 win and a 2-0 set lead.
- The third set started out 3-3 again before BH won three in a row to take a 6-3 lead. Chadron was able to fight back and tie it at seven and then again at 10 before taking a slight lead at 11-10. However, BHSU went on a 7-1 run to make it 17-12 after that fight. The Eagles got it back to 17-14 before the Yellow Jackets won five of the next seven to take a 22-16 lead with Zoie Husman getting an ace to give BHSU the 25-19 lead and send it to a fourth set.
- CSC started the fourth set with a  5-2 lead before kills by Emily Freeland and Jaeda Davis-Golliher to tie it up at 6. The Eagles would go on a 4-1 run to make it 11-8. Randi Wellhoefer would get three kills in a row with a service error to tie it up at 13 again. After some flip-flopping of points, no team would get a two point lead again until Chadron got a kill to make it 21-19. Chadron then had match point at 24-22 before Mettler got a kill and a block to tie it up at 24 and save the match. The Eagles would have another match point after a kill by Mataya Ward, but Freeland got a kill to keep the match going. Ward got another kill to make it match point, but Freeland blocked her to tie it up at 26. Back-to-back attack errors by each team made it 27-27, before BHSU had their first set point of the set after another block. Wellhoefer would secure the set with a kill to finish it off at 29-27 in the best set of the year for the Jackets who extended the match to a fifth set and won four match point attempts.
- The Yellow Jackets started the fifth set on a 10-3 run with two aces, four kills, and a block. The Eagles won two in a row to make it 10-5 before BHSU won four out of five with two kills by Wellhoefer, an ace by Davis-Golliher, and another kill by Mianna Cardenas. This set up match point at 14-6, but Chadron won two in a row to make it 14-8 before the match ended on a service error.
