Yellow Jacket Men’s Track & Field Places Five on CSC Academic All-District® List

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024-25 Academic All-District® recipients for the sports of men's cross country and track & field on Tuesday morning, recognizing the student-athletes' success on the track and in the classroom. The Yellow Jackets posted the maximum number of five recipients for the honor, including Braden Anderson, Conor McGraw, Anthony Rosenstrauch, Jaxon Straus, and Javin Walker. Anderson and McGraw have been selected to advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 16, 2025.

Anderson, who received his first career selection to the First Team Academic All-RMAC for outdoor track & field and also earned RMAC Academic Honor Roll for both indoor and outdoor track & field, collected his first career CSC Academic All-District® honor. He competed in seven meets during the outdoor season, ending the year as the lone Yellow Jacket to compete at the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships, running to 19th place finish and a time of 1:52.29 in the 800m run. Leading up to the national championships, he re-broke his school record in the 800m run as he crossed the finish line first in a time of 1:49.82 at the Concordia Twilight. The time was his second sub-1:50 time of the outdoor season, the only athlete in BHSU history to crack the time. At the 2025 RMAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships he earned Second Team All-RMAC honors with a fourth place finish and time of 1:50.11 in the 800m run and was a part of the 4x400 relay team that clocked the second-fastest time in program history with a time of 3:16.33 for eighth place. During the Green & Gold's west coast trip earlier in the year, he ran times of 1:50.69 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, besting 44 NCAA Division I runners, and 1:50.87 at the Mt. In total he has ran to five sub-1:51 times during the outdoor portion of the schedule, all of which would rank first in program history. He ran to one event win during the year and added four individual top-5 finishes. In the classroom he was pursuing a degree in business administration.
