SPEARFISH, S.D.- The Black Hills State Yellow Jackets fall in their second straight home match to CSU Pueblo as the Thunderwolves took the win 3-0. BHSU was able to keep the first set really close and nearly won it, before CSUP closed it out and then won the next two sets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The match started with each team winning two points in a row and then winning another two points in a row, which made the score 4-4 with Randi Wellhoefer, Emily Freeland, and McLeod all getting kills. Each team would win three of the next six points, before CSUP took the lead 8-7. They then would win five points in a row that included back-to-back aces to take a 13-7 lead. BHSU would answer right back winning five of the next six points with kills from Abril, Wellhoefer, and Freeland and a block by Abril and Davis-Golliher and cut the lead to two. Pueblo would win two points in a row to take a 16-12 lead before BHSU would win four in a row to tie it at 16. Pueblo would then go on a 5-1 run with two kills by Finja Schul to take a 21-17 lead. The Yellow Jackets would close it again with a 4-1 run that included a block and kill by McLeod and the score would be 22-21. CSU Pueblo would get a huge block and then Thunderwolves star Caelyn Gunn would get a kill to end the set at 25-22 to take a 1-0 lead.
- CSUP started the second set on a 13-5 run with two kills by Freeland and a kill by McLeod being the lone highlights. Abril would get three kills and a block to help cut the lead down to 16-11 before Pueblo would win nine of the next 11 points to take set two on a BHSU attack error 25-13. This gave the Thunderwolves a 2-0 lead.
- The third set started neck and neck as Carsyn Mettler and Abril each had a kill and a block early to keep the score 5-5. CSU Pueblo would then win four in a row on two Schul aces to take a 9-5 lead. BHSU would get the score back down to 11-9 with kills from Mettler and Abril and a block from Abril and McLeod. However, after that CSUP turned on the jets and won 12 points in a row before a McLeod and Zoie Husman block ended the streak and the score was 24-10. Gunn would end the set a point later with a kill to give Pueblo the 3-0 win.
