PUEBLO, Colo. - The Black Hills State University women's soccer team picked up their second first-ever win over an opponent of the 2026 season, earning a 2-0 victory on the road at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium over CSU Pueblo on Sunday afternoon. The victory which once again saw the top goal scoring duo in the RMAC at work, featured a first half goal from Ivy Agee as she became the first player in program history to reach double digit goals in a year with her tenth, and Ally Boysen moved into sole possession of second all-time in single season program history in goals with her sixth of the year in the second half. The pair has now combined for 16 goals in just nine matches. Defensively, the Green & Gold pitched their fifth shutout of the year, with Rian Barthel making five saves for the clean sheet as she broke her own mark from a year ago for the most complete game shutouts in a single season in BHSU history.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Each team posted an early shot on frame off corner kicks in the first six minutes of action. The Yellow Jackets recorded the first shot on goal in the 4th minute as Zoe Evans took in the pass from Sydney Stephan in the middle of the box and placed the ball towards the bottom left corner of the net where it was saved by Peppi Niemi, and then in the 6th minute Maya Bethelmie placed a bouncing shot attempt from the middle of the box towards the center of the net where it was picked up by Rian Barthel.
- Neither team recorded another shot on target until the 28th minute when Ivy Agee broke the tie with the game-winner. Off a throw in from Bailey Smith, Evans was able to head the ball over to Agee, where she fired a shot from the top of the box into the top left corner of the net to give BHSU a 1-0 advantage.
- Barthel made her second save of the match in the closing minutes of the first half as Mackenzie Fryxell battled for possession of the ball between two Yellow Jackets on a long pass forward into the box and was able to get a shot towards the center of the net that Barthel picked up off the ground in the 41st minute.
- Kylea Becker, Agee, and Aubri Roth kept Niemi busy in goal for the ThunderWolves following the halftime break, firing shots on target in the 52nd, 57th, and 60th minutes respectively. Barthel also made a pair of saves early in the second half, first falling onto a slow rolling shot towards the left side of the net from Avery McMullen in the 59th minute and then Baylie Reedy found her way to a long pass into the box between a pair of Yellow Jackets and fired a shot towards the top right corner of the net which saw Barthel jump to punch the ball away in the 69th minute.
- Ally Boysen pushed the game out of reach with the second goal of the day, getting a pass directly back from Mirabel Shellabarger who collected a deflected shot, and she then proceed to fire the ball just inside the left post and past the diving Niemi to make it 2-0 in the 83rd minute.
- Barthel secured her fifth shutout of the season with her fifth save of the day in the 90th minute. Off the free kick Faith Moa headed the ball towards the left side of the net, which forced Barthel to sprint from the opposite side of the net to punch the ball away while diving into the left post of the goal.
- The Yellow Jackets held the advantage in shots (15-11) and shots on goal (8-5), while the ThunderWolves held the edge in corner kicks (5-4).
