SPEARFISH, S.D. – Facing a quick turnaround and tough conditions, the Black Hills State University golf team took on South Dakota School of Mines in a windy dual on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets and Hardrockers played the one round tournament at Spearfish Canyon Country Club.
Adrianna Weeldreyer led the way for the Yellow Jackets for the second straight tournament. She finished tied for fifth after carding 25-over 97. Hayley Franke was just behind in seventh at 26-over 98. Taryn Mayer finished ninth after carding 36-over 108, while Gracie Johnson shot 39-over 111 and Katherine Welniak was 46-over 118, to finish 10th and 11th, respectively. Â
The Yellow Jackets finished second as a team, carding 126-over 414. The Hardrockers were 76-over 364 as a team. Abby Magee from South Dakota Mines won the event, shooting 15-over 87.
The Green and Gold will next be in action at the RMAC Championships April 21-23. The tournament will take place in Chandler, Ariz.
