Soccer summer camps upcoming

SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's soccer team has announced summer camps. The Skills Monster Youth Camp and the Advanced Players Camp will take place June 3-7, while the College Bound Camp will be May 31-June 2.

The Skills Monster Camp is a skill-focused camp with the right balance of challenge and fun. Skills will be learned through coaching and fun competitions while the campers are mentored by strong female athletes. The Skills Monster Camp is for kids age 4-12, and will have a very low player to coach ratio. Registration includes a t-shirt, stickers, group photo, snacks, and more.

The 2019 Advanced Players Camp is a skill-focused camp primarily for those kids who want to take their game to the next level. The camp, for ages 7-14, will teach important core soccer concepts such as individual and group attacking and defending, advanced player skills, and game shape and understanding.

The College Bound Camp is for high school players who are interested in what it takes to play at the college level. Campers will receive advanced college-level training from the BHSU Coaching Staff, as well as nutrition and diet guides and filmed sessions to prepare for recruiting. In addition, on the last day of camp, a college recruiting question and answer session will be held.

All camps will be held at the Black Hills Power Sports Complex.

Campers can register online at www.YellowJacketSoccerCamps.com or mail in a registration form to:
