SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University women's golf team is set to travel to Lake City, Minnesota, to compete in the Golden Bear Classic September 16-17. The tournament, hosted by Concordia-St. Paul, will be held at The Jewel Golf Club.
The Yellow Jackets are coming off a 14th place finish at the RMAC Fall Preview. They were led by freshman Nicole Klungness, who finished 65th. Hayley Franke was 66th and Jocelyn Olson was 67th. Abigail James and Sarah Galles were 68th and 71st, respectively, to round out the squad.
Thirteen teams will compete at the Golden Bear Classic. Eleven of the teams, including host CSP, hail from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, while Nebraska-Kearney, who is a member of the Mid-American Intercollegiate Association, will also compete.
Teams will begin to tee off at 10 a.m. on Monday morning.
