SPEARFISH, S.D. - The Yellow Jacket rodeo teams are headed down the road to Fort Dodge, Iowa, this weekend to compete at Iowa Central Community College in a rodeo September 27-28.

Traveling into the weekend, both Black Hills State rodeo teams are nationally ranked. The women are number one in the nation, while the men who are thirteenth.

The BHSU women's team goes into the weekend also sitting in the number one spot in the Great Plains Region.
Emilee Pauley is the leading Women's All Around competitor for the region as well. In breakaway roping, Pauley,
Tayle Brink,
Chanci Kraft, and
Alyssa Lockhart own the top four positions. They also have the top spot in barrel racing, held by
Cashae McGee. Meanwhile,
KeAnna Ward and
Alyssa Lockhart sit second and third in the goat tying.

The Black Hills State men's team enters the weekend fourth in the Great Plains Region.
Tayte Goodman holds on to the top spot in saddle bronc riding for the team.
Tanner Fite and
Chandler Comfort sit fourth and fifth, respectively, in tie down roping.

After this upcoming weekend of competition, the Yellow Jackets will have some time off, getting back on the road to compete again October 18-19 at Iowa State University.
