SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Black Hills State University golf team finished in eighth place at the Augustana Invitational. The tournament, competed at the Elmwood Golf Course, was the final weekend of play during the fall season for the Yellow Jackets.

Nicole Klungness led the way for the Yellow Jackets. The freshman finished in a tie for 38th at 31-over 175 (84-91). Jocelyn Olson placed 46th at 35-over 179 (89-90), while Sarah Galles was just behind at T47 after carding a -37-over 181 (98-83). Hayley Franke placed T-50 at 38-over (92-90=182), and Abigail James was 59th at 53-over 197 (99-98).

The Green and Gold finished the tournament at 141-over 717 (363-354), once again improving on their best two-round score of the fall. The University of Sioux Falls won the event at 42-over (313-305=618). Lexi Jonas of USF finished first a 6-over 150.   

The Augie Invitational was the final fall tournament for the Yellow Jackets. They will be back in action in the spring.
