BILLINGS, MONT. – Black Hills State women's golf concluded their fall season at the Yellowjacket Invitational on Tuesday afternoon, placing fifth out of seven teams in the field.
The Yellow Jackets (682, +106) finished in fifth place after a +55 score on the second day. South Dakota Mines (634, +58) secured the first-place finish, followed by Montana State Billings (651, +75) taking second after sending the University of Mary (656, +80) to third place.
Olivia McCandless (165, +21) finished the tournament in a four-way tie for 12
th, scoring +14 on the day.
Katie Jorgenson (167, +23) finished 17
th while
Lola Homiston jumped a placement this afternoon and secured a four-way tie at 22
nd.
Jocelyn Olson (178, +34) shaved two strokes off her round which allowed her to climb four places to end in a three-way tie for 25
th.
Cami Langley (189, +45) was the most improved Yellow Jacket golfer as she cut 19 strokes off her scorecard in round two to secure 33
rd. Langley's second round score also beat her career low round of 86, which she scored at the RMAC Championships in 2021.
Jacqueline Bowles (185, +41), who played in the tournament as an individual, finished in 31
st place. Her first-round score beat her season-low round of 94, which she recorded at the Hardrocker Classic earlier this fall.
Madisen Jarrett (203, +59) also competed as an individual, placing 36
th at the conclusion of the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational.
