BROOKINGS, S.D. – Black Hills State rodeo traveled this past weekend to compete in the Jackrabbit Stampede where multiple athletes placed in their respective events.
Women
Cashae McGee earned the average buckle in the goat tying with a smoking average time of 14.4 on two.
Chanci Kraft placed fifth in the average with a 16.2 on two.
Karli Verhulst placed sixth in the long go with a time of 8.0 and
Jaicee Williams placed ninth with an 8.3.
In the barrel racing,
Sydney Theobald came home with a third-place finish running a 27.46 on two.
Madi Moody placed fifth in the breakaway roping with a 3.1 on one.
Emilee Pauley and Kraft also split ninth place in the long go with a time of 3.7 seconds.
Rachel Kelderman and her teammate from Mitchell Technical College placed fifth in the team roping with an 8.7 on one head.
Men
Austin Madison brought home second-place in the steer wrestling with a 14.2 on two.
