RAPID CITY, S.D. – The women's golf teams for Black Hills State finished day one of the Hardrocker Invite at sixth (first team) and seventh (team "B") with team totals of 354 (+66) and 375 (+87), respectively.
Both BHSU teams combined to record five birdies and 51 par scores.
"Our Jacket golfers fought really hard on a difficult day today. Very proud of their resilience and positive attitudes," said coach
Craig Marsh.
Katie Jorgenson finished the day leading the Yellow Jackets as she finished in a four-way tie for 11
th with an 86-stroke total in round one (+14).
Cami Langley,
Olivia McCandless, and
Jocelyn Olson are occupying spots in a five-person lock up for 18
th with 88 strokes (+16).
Kaitlyn Dumler tied with another golfer in the field for 23
rd with a 17-over par score (89 strokes), followed behind by
Lola Homiston in a tie for 26
th as she totaled 91-strokes in her round (+19).
Jacqueline Bowles is in a tie for 29
th at 91 strokes (+22),
Madisen Jarrett placed in a three-way tie for 31
st in a 97-stroke round (+25), and
Anna Talarico tied for 36
th at 102 strokes (+30).
Jessica Folchert rounds out the Yellow Jacket golfers in 39
th with 107 strokes (+35).
Chadron State leads the seven-team group with a team total of 332 (+44), followed by both South Dakota Mines teams in second and third with 342 and 345 team totals (+54 and +57, respectively).

The Yellow Jackets will gear up for round two of the Hardrocker Invite on Tuesday, Sept. 20 with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. BHSU's first team will tee off from holes 10a-12a and team "B" will start from holes 12b-15b.
