SOUTH JORDAN, Utah. – Yellow Jacket golf completed the third and final round of the Westminster Wasatch Invitational on Tuesday afternoon and placed 12^th at the tournament's conclusion.
 
The BHSU team clocked out of the tournament with a total stroke count of 1045 strokes (+181) (345, 346, and 354). The University of Tampa finished in first with 891 (+27) (292, 297, 302) while Colorado Christian finished at 907 strokes (+43) (300, 305, 302) to place second. Colorado Mesa rounded out the top three after recording a team total 922 strokes (+58) (296, 315, 311).
 
Kaitlyn Dumler played as an individual in the competition and placed in a three-way tie for 56^th, recording a tournament total 258 strokes (+42) (84, 88, 85). She would shave three strokes off her score card in the third round. 
 
Olivia McCandless led the Yellow Jacket team in the tournament, recording a stroke total of 262 (+46) (84, 83, 95) to place 60th in the tournament. McCandless' round two total is the lowest on the season for the freshman. Katie Jorgenson would be right behind her in 61st with 263 strokes (+47) (87, 86, 90) as she tied her season low in the second round. Lola Homiston was the next Yellow Jacket finisher as she recorded a three-round total of 264 strokes (+48) (83, 90, 91). Jocelyn Olson (267, +41) (91, 89, 87) finished in 64^th after shaving two strokes off her round. Cami Langley (268, +42) (94, 88, 86) also improved two strokes in her final round as she finished in 65th as her round three score tied her all-time round low of 86, which she achieved at the RMAC Championships last year.

The Yellow Jackets gear up for their final fall tournament next week at the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational hosted by MSU-Billings. The tournament will be played from Monday, Oct. 3 through Tuesday, Oct. 4 at the Lake Hills Golf Club in Billings, Mont.
