FORT DODGE, Iowa – Black Hills State rodeo had another strong outing at the Triton Stampede that took place on Sept. 23 and 24.
The men's team finished third, while on the women's side,
Tessa Caspers was the All-Around champion.
Women
In breakaway roping, the Yellow Jackets had four finish in the top six, led by
Summer Richardson who finished first with a 5.0 on two.
Chanci Kraft placed third in the breakaway with a 5.7 on two, while
Sydney Theobald finished fifth with a 6.8 on two, and
Tessa Caspers placed sixth with a 2.6 on one.
Caspers also ran in the barrel race, finishing second with a 28.88 on two runs.
Haley Husted placed fourth in goat tying with a 7.1 in the long go.
Rachel Kelderman finished fifth in team roping with an 11.5 on one.
Men
Austin Madison placed second in steer wrestling with a 10.8 on two.
In team roping,
Riley Staton finished first with a 15.0 on two, while
Clayton Backhaus placed third with a 17.6 on two.

The Yellow Jackets head north this weekend up to Dickinson State for the Blue Hawk Stampede on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
