PUEBLO, Colo. – Black Hills State women's golf played through the final 18-hole round at the Sam Proal Invitational on Tuesday, ending the tournament in 12
th place after shedding 19-strokes as a team.
The Yellow Jackets (719, +143) were led by
Ava Kalanek (171, +27) once more on day two, who shaved five strokes off her scorecard in the second round to finish in a tie for 44
th.
Lola Homiston (181, +37) saw a major 11-stroke improvement on her round two scores to finish in a tie for 65
th, while
Katie Jorgenson (183, +39) and
Cami Langley (184, +40) finished the tournament in ties for 67
th and 71
st, respectively. Jorgenson's round two score saw seven less strokes recorded than in her previous Monday round.
Rounding out the Yellow Jacket golfers was
Madisen Jarrett (201, +57), who landed in a tie for 80
th.
Though they added six shots to their team score in the second day, Texas A&M International (610, +34) emerged victorious in Pueblo, with Midwestern (611, +35) narrowly falling to second. Rounding out the top three finishing schools at the Pueblo Country Club was the hosting CSU Pueblo (617, +41), who saw a 23-stroke improvement on day two.
