RAPID CITY, S.D. – Black Hills State women's golf traveled to Rapid City on Monday and Tuesday for the South Dakota Mines' Hardrocker Spring Invite and saw team "A" (718, +150) finish as runner-up while BHSU's second group (802, +234) landed in fourth.
South Dakota Mines, who also featured two teams, had their teams finish in first (683, +115) and third (769, +201) while Dickinson State University rounded out the field in fourth (859, +291).
Both teams saw improvement on the second day, with the first Yellow Jacket group shaving off 20 strokes on day two and the second BHSU team trimming four strokes off the scorecard.
BHSU had four golfers land in the top ten of the player's leaderboard, with
Kaitlyn Dumler (170, +28) landing in fourth place while
Jocelyn Olson (180, +38) improved by eight strokes on the second day to finish the tournament in sixth.
Katie Jorgenson (185, +43) finished in eighth while
Lola Homiston (187, +45) shaved 11 strokes on day two to climb nine spots and finish in a tie for ninth.
Olivia McCandless (189, +47) also saw 11 swings fall off her scorecard on day two as she finished in 13
th.
Madisen Jarrett (194, +52) finished in a tie for 16
th,
Jacqueline Bowles (195, +53) stood alone in 18
th, and
Cami Langley (205, +63) had a nine-stroke improvement on day two to finish in 22
nd. Rounding out the BHSU field was
Jessica Folchert and
Anna Talarico (211, +69) as they tied each other for 23
rd.
