COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the 2024 women's soccer all-conference selections on Tuesday afternoon which additionally recognized three Black Hills State student-athletes as honorable mention honorees. The pair of All-RMAC teams were selected via a vote by the league's 13 head coaches, where they were not permitted to vote for their own players. Representing the Yellow Jackets in this year's release is
Anacel Valenzuela-Acosta,
Paige Hill, and
Ainsley Wilson.

Valenzuela-Acosta posted one of the top offensive seasons in program history as she tied the school single season record for goals (5) and assists (3), while breaking the top program mark for points (13). On two occasions during the year she found the back of the net twice, doing so in wins over New Mexico Highlands and Western Colorado. In the match-up with WCU her second goal resulted in the game-winner, while additionally she assisted on the game-tying goal against No. 1 Colorado School of Mines and the game-winner against Adams State. Overall, during the year, she played in all 18 contests while making 16 starts and tallying 966 minutes where she placed 13 of 21 shot attempts on target.

Hill also played an integral role in the Yellow Jacket offense this past season as she was second on the team in goals (4) and points (11), while also tying the school single season record for assists (3). She found the back of the net twice in a BHSU win over New Mexico Highlands, which included scoring the game-winner in the 19
th minute. Additionally in the victory over Adams State she tallied an assist on the game-winning goal, which was the fastest scored in program history in just one minute and five seconds. Overall, during the year, she played in 16 matches while making nine starts and tallying 695 minutes of action where she placed seven of 23 shot attempts on target.

Wilson was one of just two Yellow Jackets to appear and start in all 18 games this season, tallying 1,553 minutes, the second most minutes on the team. The Loveland, Colorado, native was a part of a back line defense that posted three shutouts on the year, the second most in a season in program history, and helped notch the best single game defensive performance in school history against Minnesota Crookston. When Black Hills State secured the shutout against UMC, Wilson played the full 90 minutes as they held the Golden Eagles to the fewest shot attempts (3) and shots on goal (1) in a single match in BHSU history.
