SPEARFISH, S.D.- The Black Hills State women's golf team announced their spring 2026 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The schedule, which includes four tournaments, will be the same amount as last spring with two new events this year and two repeats including the RMAC Championships.
The Yellow Jackets will begin the Spring season in Arizona in mid-March, where they will compete in the SMSU Classic on March 16-17 at Wigwam Golf Course in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The Jackets didn't play in this tournament last year, but did back in 2023-24. They finished in 11
th place that year with
Katie Jorgenson shooting a 166 (+22) over the two-day event including a 80 (+8) on day one.
They will then head back to the state of South Dakota for an early April tournament in Sioux Falls as they will match up in the Augustana Spring Invite at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D. on April 6-7. It will be the first time BHSU competes in an Augustana hosted tourney since 2019.
They will then go back to the familiar with the Hardrocker Spring Invite at the Golf Club at Red Rock on April 13 and 14. BHSU competed in the tournament last year and finished fifth with
Olivia McCandless shooting a 164 (+22) to finish third overall in the tournament. Jorgenson also finished in the top ten with a seventh-place finish after shooting a 168 (+26) over the two days.
The Green and Gold will finish their season at the RMAC Championships in Boulder City, Nevada at Boulder Creek Golf Club on April 19-21. The three-day championships will give the Jackets a chance to keep improving their finish as they finished ninth last year with a team score of 1020 (+156) over the 54 holes, which was a program record.
Makaela Swanson was the only top 40 finisher last year shooting a 248 (+32) over the three rounds with a 79 (+7) and an 82 (+10) on days two and three.
