COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) announced the 2025 First Team Academic All-RMAC and RMAC Academic Honor Roll selections for the sport of women's volleyball on Wednesday afternoon. Representing Black Hills State University,
Ellie Thomas earned First Team Academic All-RMAC for her performance on the court and in the classroom. The Yellow Jackets had seven players make the All-Academic Honor Roll including Thomas. Those include
Zoie Husman,
Emma Kruger,
Elena Atkinson,
Sydnie Tuioti-Mariner,
Emily Freeland, and
Carsyn Mettler.

Earning her first time being on the Academic All-RMAC team, Thomas is coming off a truly incredible defensive season for BHSU. Thomas led BHSU in digs and was second in the conference in total digs with 451. She also had 454 receptions and a .925 reception percentage. She averaged 4.85 digs per set, which was second in the conference and earned an RMAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 20. She had ten or more digs in every single game this season and reached 20 digs eight times. She had a career-high 33 digs in the senior night game versus Westminster. She finished with a 3.663 cumulative GPA while majoring in Exercise Science.
