COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO- The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) recognized the top student-athletes in the sport of Women's Golf on Thursday afternoon for excelling on the field and in the classroom with the release of the First Team Academic All-RMAC selections as well as the RMAC Academic Honor Roll. Five Yellow Jackets were named to the RMAC Academic Honor Roll: Lola Homiston, Cami Langley, Anna Talarico, Jessica Folchert, and Olivia McCandless.

Lola Homiston finished with a 3.70 cumulative GPA while majoring in business administration. The junior competed in three tournaments this year. She had her best finish at the Black Hills State Classic finishing in 28th place. Her best 36-hole score came at the Hardrocker Fall Invite where she ended with a 182 (+38) over the two rounds. She averaged 90.7 over her six rounds of play.

Cami Langley finished with a 3.45 cumulative GPA while majoring in physical education. Langley competed in five tournaments this year with her best finish being 12th place at the Marauders Tournament. The senior scored a career low of 173 (+29) at the Swan Memorial in the fall, which included an 18-hole score of 83 (+11). She averaged 91.1 over the ten rounds. 

Anna Talarico finished with a 3.40 cumulative GPA while majoring in Elementary Education. Talarico competed in three tournaments with a season best 31st place finish at the Hardrocker Spring Invite. Talarico tied her season low twice with a 184 (+40) in both the Yellowjacket Fall Invite and the Southern Colorado Open. She averaged a score of 94.1 this year.

Jessica Folchert finished with a 3.38 cumulative GPA while majoring in physical education. She competed in ten rounds this year including being on the main team in each of her two spring tournaments. She finished in 28th place at the Hardrocker Spring Invite which was her season low and scored a 178 (+34) at the Yellowjacket Fall Invite which was her season low 36-hole score. This included an 86 (+14) 18-hole score. She averaged 95.7 strokes per round this season.

Olivia McCandless was a bright spot this year for the Yellow Jackets. She shot an 82 (+10) both days to finish in a tie for ninth at the DWU tournament this spring . It was the second straight week of finishing in the top 10 after she had the best performance of her career at the Hardrocker Spring Open. She shot 84 (+13) on the first day and a career-low 80 (+9) on day two to finish in third place, which is her best finish of her career. She beat her career-low on 18 and her career-low on 36 with a 164 (+23) She has averaged a 88.2 stroke average this year through 14 rounds.

The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport who academically maintain at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average, have completed two consecutive semesters at their current institution, and have used a season of competition. 

Each institution's athletic communications directors nominate student-athletes who academically maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, along with the other criteria for the Academic Honor Roll, for recognition on the First Team Academic All-RMAC in each sport. The league's athletic communications directors for that sport vote to compose the First Team Academic All-RMAC and select the Academic Player of the Year. They are not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.
