BHSU Golf Announces 2025 Fall Schedule

SPEARFISH, S.D.- The Black Hills State women's golf team announced their fall 2025 schedule Tuesday afternoon. The schedule, which includes four tournaments, will be one tournament shorter than last season, but will include a lot of the same events.

The Yellow Jackets will once again start their season in Broomfield, Colorado at the Swan Memorial hosted by Colorado Christian on September 8 and 9. Last year, BHSU got their name into the history books at this tournament. They set the record for the lowest 36-hole team score in team history, they finished fourth and fifth in the lowest single round team scores and Katie Jorgenson sits tied for ninth for the lowest 36-hole score, when she shot 160 over the two days.

They will then head to South Dakota Mines' tournament: The Travis Roy Memorial Invite on September 15 and 16 at the Powderhorn Golf Resort in Sheridan, Wyoming. The Hardrockers switched their location from The Golf Course at Red Rocks in Rapid to Sheridan, Wyoming this year, which means it will be a new course for this team. Last year in the SD Mines tournament, BHSU finished T-5th with a combined score of 681 (+105), which was T-9 all-time for 36-hole score.

BHSU will come home to compete in the newly named Homestake Invite on September 22 and 23 at Spearfish Canyon Country Club. The Yellow Jackets finished second last year in the home event. We finished with the exact same score as we did at red rocks with a score of 681 (+105) which also had a T-9 all-time 36-hole score.

Finally, Black Hills State will finish their fall season once again in Billings, Montana at the Yellowjacket Fall Invite hosted by MSU Billings at Lake Hills Golf Club on October 6 and 7. It will now be a 54-hole tournament with 36 holes being played on the 6th. The Yellow Jackets really excelled at this tournament last year. They shot the second lowest 36-hole score all-time with a 661, and they shot the lowest 18-hole score all-time with a 320. This led them to finish sixth in the tournament.
