SPEARFISH, S.D. – The Black Hills State University football team and head coach
Josh Breske welcomed the newest class of Yellow Jackets on Wednesday as 52 high school athletes made their commitments official, and they are joined by three mid-year transfers. A group composed of individuals from nine states will make the Queen City their home for collegiate football next fall as BHSU will look to battle for a fourth consecutive winning season.
"We're thrilled to announce another large and talented recruiting class this year," commented Breske. "Our goal was to bring strength in numbers to position groups like the offensive line, wide receivers, and defensive backs. Each season we've been able to access more and more talented student-athletes in our recruiting territories and scooped up a number of players that were at the top of our board. Our staff met the challenge of replacing 12 graduating seniors on defense, four on offense, and two specialists. Arizona, Wyoming, California, Colorado, and South Dakota were good to us this year providing 48 of our 52 signees. With our three mid-year transfers added to the mix – we're all very excited and optimistic about the future. I'm eager to get our new faces on campus this summer and see how this group will impact our trajectory. Huge shoutout to our coaching staff, our player hosts, admissions, and the wonderful people of BHSU for showing these recruits why there's no better time to play in the Hills."
