Spearfish, S.D. – The Black Hills State University
volleyball team swept Valley City State 3-0 by scores of 25-17,
25-21 and 25-20 to advance to the semi-finals of the Dakota
Athletic Conference (DAC) Tournament.
“It was a great team effort,” said head coach
Jennifer Weitzel. “We came out with a new rotation and
it worked out for us. We had a lot of younger players step up
and once again our seniors led the way.”
The Yellow Jackets were led in kills by sophomore Kylee Lamb who
netted 13 on the evening finishing the contest with a .550 hitting
percentage. Senior Maggie O'Neill finished the evening
with a double-double with 10 kills and 17 assists.
Black Hills State will return to action Wednesday, November 10
as they take on Jamestown. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
