Volleyball adds transfer Cerrone

SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University head volleyball coach, Kristin Carmichael, has announced the arrival of a mid-year transfer to the program.

Kindra Cerrone is a 5-9 outside hitter and defensive specialist from Lakewood, Colorado. She transferred from West Texas A&M, where her team was 19-13 in 2018. Cerrone graduated from D'Evelyn High School, where she was the Most Valuable Player. She was a four-time honor roll selection.

"Kindra had attended our summer camp prior to her senior year, so we were familiar with her when she reached out about transferring. She is a strong passer, who reads and moves well in serve receive," said Carmichael. "She is improving and becoming more comfortable and confident in her role every day, and we are excited to see what the future holds for her."

Kindra is the daughter of Kim and Mike Cerrone. She has two brothers, Scott and Sean, and a sister, Sarah. Cerrone plans to major in biology at BHSU.
