SPEARFISH, S.D. – Black Hills State University head volleyball coach, Kristin Carmichael, has announced the signing of an additional student-athlete for the 2019-20 year.

Allison Lavoie is a 5-10 outside hitter from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. While at ThunderRidge High School, she earned All-League Honorable Mention as well as Academic All-State First Team accolades.

"We were really excited and lucky to find Allison this spring. She has competed at a high level on both her high school and club teams. Allison adds height and depth to our front row in multiple positions and also has good ball control in the back row," said coach Carmichael. "We know that she will fit in great with our team culture and we are excited for the positive attributes she brings both on and off the court."

Allison is the daughter of Bobbi and Rick Lavoie. She plans to major in either biology or exercise science.
