Bree Davis are pleased to announce the addition of three more student athletes to the team's 2022 signing class.
The Yellow Jackets have added two additions from Colorado and another recruit from Wyoming with these signings.
Katie Bell
Bell is a 5' 6" libero joining the Yellow Jackets from Colorado Springs, Colo. Bell spent her high school career playing for Pine Creek High School, Altitude Volleyball Club, Colorado Juniors Volleyball Club, and Momentum Volleyball Club.
"Katie has played volleyball at a very competitive level," said Head Coach
Kristin Carmichael. "She brings a ton of enthusiasm and a never give up attitude to the court. She has great ball control, reads well defensively, and has a point scoring serve. We are excited to add her personality and high volleyball IQ to our team."
Bell was named team captain for the Varsity Pine Creek High School Volleyball Team and was also named team captain of the 18 James Momentum Volleyball Team throughout her high school career.
Bell is ranked in the top 15% of her class at Pine Creek High School and is a member of the National Honors Society. Katie is also an active member of the French National Honors Society and has been named to the Principal Academic Honor Roll at Pine Creek High School.
Katie hopes to major in Early Child Life Development at BHSU with hopes of becoming a Child Life Specialist.
Erin Weibel
Weibel is a 5' 4" libero joining BHSU from Casper, Wyo. Weibel spent her high school career playing for Natrona County High School, Grizzly Girls Club Volleyball, and WYO City USA Volleyball.
"Erin brings a brightness and positive energy to the volleyball court and our team really enjoyed playing with her," said Coach Carmichael. "She's obviously a very competitive and driven individual as she plans to compete for both Yellow Jacket volleyball and track and field. We are so excited to be adding her to our program!"
Throughout her junior year Weibel tallied 84 digs and two aces for Natrona County High School. Erin was an asset for her team on the court as she was named All-Conference and was named the Co-Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
As a senior, Erin racked up 462 digs and 21 aces throughout the season while helping lead her team to Regionals and a fourth-place finish at the State Tournament. Weibel was named All-Conference and All-State for her senior campaign. Erin was also named the 4A Defensive Player of the Year as a senior.
Weibel is currently ranked in the top 5% of her class with a 4.00 GPA. Erin plans to major in Exercise Science with hopes of becoming a Paramedic or Firefighter. Weibel is an active member of the National Honor Society and is currently the NHS Treasurer. Erin has also been named to the Principal's Honor Roll.
At BHSU Erin will also be competing for the Yellow Jacket track and field program where she plans to compete in both the pole vault and triple jump.
Audrey Brgoch
Brgoch is a 5' 11" pin hitter who hails from Parker, Colo. Brgoch spent her high school career playing for Lutheran High School and Momentum Volleyball Club.
"Audrey is a dynamic player that can find success at either pin or in 6 rotations," said Coach Carmichael. "She has a quiet confidence and has experience winning at a high level. She is long and has a variety of offensive shots that allow her to score efficiently. We can't wait to get her into our gym and work with her every day!"
Throughout her sophomore year Brgoch was third on the team in kills after tallying 198 kills and was the team leader in aces after recording 57 aces through the season. Brgoch helped lead her team to a 2019 State Runner-Up title at the 2019 State Tournament.
As a junior Brgoch led her team in kills racking up 176 kills. Audrey also led her team in aces after totaling 41 aces throughout the season. After tallying 136 digs Brgoch found herself second on the team in total digs for the season. Audrey was name All-Conference her junior year while helping lead her team to the State Tournament.
Last season, Brgoch led the team in two statistical categories after recording 214 kills and a .307 hitting percentage. Brgoch was ranked second on the team in aces with 61 total aces and third on the team in digs after racking up 145 digs. Audrey was named team captain and team MVP for her efforts her senior year. Brgoch was named All-State Honorable Mention, First Team All-Conference, CCGS All-State, and CHSCA All-State her senior year as well.
Audrey will be an asset in the classroom as well as she carries a 4.0 GPA into her final semester of high school and has earned Honor Roll and an Academic Letter throughout High School.
Brgoch has an older sister, Payton, who plays volleyball for Ole Miss.
