A hometown kid staying home, she will arrive at Black Hills State as a 5-year letterwinner, 4-year starter, and 2-year captain for the Spartans and head coach Anthony Bradley. The Spearfish High School record holder for most saves and least goals conceded led SHS to four SDHSAA Class AA State Tournament appearances, including a trip to the quarterfinals in 2023. Also in the 2023 quarterfinal season, the Spartans tallied ten wins as she conceded just nine goals all year, the fewest in a single season in program history. She was a 3-time All-Black Hills Conference selection and is a 2-time Best of the Rest selection by the Rapid City Journal. On the club circuit she spent seven seasons with the Black Hills Rapids, including being a part of the 2024 NPL National Runner-Up team and the 2025 NPL National Champion team. She previously spent two years with South Dakota United. Lauren is the daughter of Kellie and Brian Peotter, and she has one sibling, Brooke, who is a current women's soccer athlete at the University of South Dakota.
