Black Hills State University Athletics

Bert coached football, track, basketball, wrestling and golf during his coaching tenure from 1939-1981. His teams won championships in basketball, track and football. He is responsible for starting the Mobridge wrestling program in 1973. He was inducted into the South Dakota Coaches Hall of Fame in 1981 and the South Dakota High School Coaches Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1988.
