Black Hills State University Athletics

has received three NAIA All-American honors in both indoor and outdoor track; these highlight a career that stands with the best. Other accomplishments include being a four-time SDIC pole vault champion, earning an all-time college record for South Dakota NAIA district championships, a district decathlon championship and record, plus many meet records that stand today. He was also selected the 1977 recipient of the Maurice Fitzgerald Scholar-Athlete Award.
