C.P. distinguished himself as a player, coach and general role model for Indian students throughout the state. During the early 30s, Jordan played in four national Catholic high school tournaments for St. Francis High School of Chicago. He received his degree in English from BHSC in 1971. He went on to coach at Assumption Junior College and held various coaching and teaching positions at Marty Mission, Stephan, St. Francis, St. Labre, and St. Xavier. At St. Stephan, his teams won five straight Indian basketball championships and compiled an overall record of 71-14.
