Black Hills State University Athletics

was a 6’ 3" guard on the conference winning basketball team in 1927 and a four-year letterman in football and basketball. As a member of the "Big Five" he served as team captain in 1926. He was selected to the all-conference team during his senior year. Norton coached at Vale from 1929 to 1943 before moving west and ultimately settling in Portland, where he coached and taught for 26 years.
