Dave coached baseball from 1965-1991 in Oregon and Washington. His varsity coaching record as head coach was 305 wins and 163 loses (66%). He was honored as the Southern Oregon Conference Coach of the Year four times, Oregon High School Baseball Coaches Association Coach of the Year twice and was nominated twice for National Coach of the Year.
