 Mark Kulmus participated in football and wrestling for the Jackets in 1979 and played football from 1982-84. In football, Kulmus was named an NAIA first team All-American and first team All-District 12 linebacker in 1984. He was also named to the SDIC first team twice and was named co-captain of the Jackets for two years. In 1984 he recorded 56 unassisted tackles, 52 assisted tackles, one fumble recovery, 14 tackles for losses and three pass interceptions.
