Howard Perry was the faculty athletic representative for BHSU athletics from 1978 to 2000. In that position, Perry certified that the athletes were academically eligible to participate under the NAIA rules. As a faculty athletic representative, Perry redesigned the national transfer form, which is still being used today at all NAIA schools. Perry also volunteered as a timer or picker for track meets at BHSU. Perry retired from BHSU on July 1, 2000.
