Black Hills State University Athletics

Myrle was an outstanding all-around athlete for the Jackets in the early 1950s. He competed in basketball, football, track and baseball. Myrle lettered 13 times in a four-year collegiate athletic career. He set the ½ mile record in track in 1950, batted over .400 in 1951 and was co-captain of the baseball and basketball squads his senior year.
