Black Hills State University Athletics

served as the chairman of the physical education division since 1967. For 16 years he served as the college’s athletic director, 1967 to 1982. He also taught classes and coached. Other pursuits have included developing a wellness management program at the college, serving as chairman of the building committee for the new Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center, and serving as a member of the executive committee for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics. He also served for one year as president of the NAIA. Over the years he has given freely of his time to promote athletics and recreation.
